Simply the best

The Nationwide FlexPlus account is a strong option for anyone looking for an all-in-one current account with added benefits. While it comes with a monthly fee, it offers good value through its packaged extras, especially for people who travel or want built-in insurance. One of the biggest advantages is the worldwide family travel insurance, which includes winter sports and covers pre-existing medical conditions (subject to acceptance). The mobile phone insurance is another highlight, covering multiple phones for the account holder and their family. Breakdown cover across the UK and Europe adds further peace of mind and makes the account particularly appealing for drivers. The account also benefits from Nationwide’s solid customer service and user-friendly mobile app, making everyday banking simple and reliable. However, the FlexPlus account doesn’t offer interest on balances, and the monthly fee may not be worth it for those who won’t use the insurance benefits. Overall, the Nationwide FlexPlus account is excellent value for people who would otherwise pay separately for travel insurance, phone insurance, and breakdown cover.
