Don’t be afraid to make that first call to stepchange

Step change helped me see the light at the end of a very dark tunnel. The relief I felt the day I picked up the phone was unbelievable. I dreaded making the call but it was single handedly the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve still got a long way to go to be debt free but I can sleep easy again and don’t dread the front door knocking or the phone ringing. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

Life saving

I finally plucked up the courage to contact Stepchange after my business failed and my debts spiralled out of control. They spoke to me in a calm, non-patronising way and encouraged me to admit all my debt. They put me on an affordable DMP that has genuinely been a life saver.
