Natwest: well known & reliable - poor customer service

Natwest is well known and reliable in many ways, with several options for how to run your account and offers a lot of great products. It was brilliant for simple account management and especially for younger starts with banking. Its customer service however is horrific. The messaging option on the app is not instantly accessible and requires at least a few hours before anyone comes back to you. By the time they do, and you reply, it’s passed on to a new agent and the process starts again. I’ve had requests go on for days and it’s really frustrating. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026

Barclays Current Account Access

The Barclays online banking platform and app alongside daily usage is great. I’ve had no problems and it’s all pretty seamless and quick. The lack of customer service on the app though is quite difficult as you need to call up, which might cause accessibility issues too and frustration for urgent support.
