OMG STAY AWAY

Omg!! BEWARE! Had this pet insurance for 3 years,no problem until....i made a claim. Wow i honestly can't believe what lies this company will make up to get out of paying a claim. My dog is looked after really well. No health issues at all up until July 2022 when she needed an operation for a grade 4 medial patellar luxation. I phoned Perfect pets, they said they DO NOT pay before surgery so we had to pay upfront £2000 (it does not say that in the policy). It says in my policy they pay out withing 5-7 days (they didn't) after nearly 8 weeks of phoning then every week to ask what's taking so long they finally paid out only half of the claim because: They think our vet has over charged for certain things. (That's Perfect pets opinion as it doesn't state what the maximum they'd pay for treatments in policy) I asked where Perfect Pet got their info from ,they said they looked it up on internet and decided themselves which to me sounds very unprofessional. They took £244 off because i class my dog as a medium 10-12kg mongral,she is 2 or more breeds. Perfect Pet say a mongral is 3 or more breeds but it says NOTHING in my policy or on their website what a definition of s Mongral is so...yet again they have 'made up' their own definition and changed my policy to a cross-breed (which she isn't) and said when i took my policy out i had said she was a small dog upto 10kg. I looked online at my policy and it had been changed to a small 10kg but luckly i had printed my policy out when i renewed, with it clearly stating my dog was a 10-12kg medium . I emailed them the proof but they apologised and put my premiums up by £5 a month!!! Because Perfect pet NOW class my dog as a Cross -breed,which she isn't. This company will take your money but not give it bk. I had to give 1 star because i couldn't give them -10000000000. STAY AWAY from this company. They sent me two emails with two different amounts they were willing to pay out with £300 difference so obviously can't add up properly and depending on who i spoke to when i phoned the 'lies' they told changed. At one point i was told my claim was with the managing director to look at then, i was told it was with a senier then, i was told it wasn't being looked at yet.......They should be ashamed of themselves especially with the cost of living crisis..i am appalled by them!!
