Mostly good but frustrating increase

They've mostly been good to deal with – they've approved claims with no hassle. Having FirstVet (video consultations with a vet) available for free is great for peace of mind. They are pretty spammy about it, sending more text messages about the status of a claim than I'd like. They increased the policy a lot year over year. It also turned out they had silently (as far as I can tell) gone back on their previous commitment not to let personal claims history affect future premiums. Now it's harder to know whether to use the insurance or not, where previously it felt straightforward. This is probably the case with most insurers, but it was such a nice and sensible policy while it lasted. Reviewed on: 10th October 2022
