I initially found Carmoola to be excellent. Setting up an account was quick, easy, and straightforward, and finding a car through the app was a smooth and hassle-free experience. The whole process was modern, user-friendly, and gave me confidence in using their service. Unfortunately, my experience changed significantly when I encountered a problem with the vehicle. If you run into issues, particularly within the first six months of ownership, don’t expect much support. In my case, Carmoola repeatedly delayed dealing with the matter and seemed more focused on avoiding responsibility than helping resolve the issue. The vehicle developed a timing chain problem, which Carmoola ultimately dismissed as “wear and tear” and therefore not their responsibility. I strongly disagree with this position, especially given that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Credit Act 1974, finance providers can have obligations where a vehicle is not of satisfactory quality or develops faults shortly after purchase. While the initial buying experience was excellent, the real test of any finance company is how they support customers when something goes wrong. Based on my experience, Carmoola fell well short of expectations when it came to after-sales support and handling a legitimate vehicle fault. Reviewed on: 9th June 2026
