Person-centred saving

I have shopped around for a while looking around for an account which had competitive interest rates, and were flexible with withdrawals, I initially looked to the big name banks and building societies such as Barclays, HSBC and Nationwide, however I could never find an option that worked for me and my savings goals of buying my first car, all of which had details in the fine print which made it impractical for me (such as no withdrawals without penalty, a limit of the amount I could withdraw before the account reach maturity and more). Zopa allowed me to save with relative easy access and gave the option of boosting Interest rates for access upon 31 days or 95 days notice. This was the perfect balance between restricting access to my money away so I’m not tempted to dip into the account as and when, but also knowing that I can gain access within a month of making the request. Overall, the app has been easy to navigate and there are customer services during working hours in case I have any question. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2023
