Friendly staff at the bank

We are lucky enough to have an HSBC in ours small town, had current account for years and never had an issue. The local staff are very friendly and helpful - always take time to help and advise if they can. Telephone support is not so good however and feels unconnected to the bank itself - you have to phone a mail line for an appointment at your local bank and made an appointment twice through this and didn't work out either time.
