I was recommended this app by a friend a few years ago and it’s the best thing I ever did. You can save as much or as little as you like and anything up to £4k will get you an additional 25% investment on your savings from the government (so potentially a free £1k every year!). The app is simple to use and you can adjust your payments as you like. There are regular updates from Moneybox and all their additional info is pretty much jargon free and easy to follow. I also have a stocks and shares ISA and a High Interest/Notice savings account. All of which are making way more money than my standard savings account with my regular bank. They also allow you to round up any transactions you’ve made on your current account spending and pay them into whichever savings account you like, making extra little top ups to your pot when you can.
