Sensible Investing that is just right for me.

I now invest monthly with Plum after seeing negative returns month after month from other well-known investment providers. 2022 was a bumpy year for all investments, so I was naturally expecting to have losses on all my investments. They did drop for a little while, but bounced back relatively quickly whilst using and investing with Plum. I love the simplicity of the app and the Powerful products available at your fingertips. Highly recommended, now used by my friends and family after a little persuasion from me! Reviewed on: 16th February 2023

Very poor customer service and intrusive staff.

TSB Pype Hayes Branch. Went in to withdraw money from my account, only to be asked repeatedly what was I using the money for? Told them I was having building work completed and needed to pay for the work. The older male member of staff who was working on another counter then got involved in the conversation and told me cash jobs are tax avoidance and effects the funding for ambulance's? I couldn't believe what I was hearing, so rude and unnecessary, he was only presuming. I was then asked in a loud voice "How did I want my money?" What about the people listening behind me, what about security? A totally worrying experience that has made me and my family move to another bank. I only use TSB for a couple of direct debits now and nothing else. A really shocking experience. Reviewed on: 16th February 2023

A decent everyday bank with interest on your savings!

I think I was possibly one of the first people to join Chase when it entered the UK banking system. Fantastic features with 5% interest on round ups and a saving account that offers 3% interest. Fantastic customer services. I've only had a good experience with Chase and have obviously recommended it to my friends and family who have all joined and started to use the saving function. A modern bank that will give the old high Street banks a good run for their money with the new modern services that they offer. Reviewed on: 15th February 2023

Poor customer Service

Having been left the executor of my late sister's estate, I had the task of dealing with her accounts that were held with HSBC. At the time, I was very emotional as my sister died very suddenly. I found the bereavement department to be very unhelpful and was actually brought to tears by a very young and rude female and unhelpful member of staff. I was so upset I didn't phone back for at least a month. This call was completely different. I spoke to a lovely Irish gentleman who was so helpful and understanding, a real pleasure to deal with. He knew his area of expertise perfectly and was able to help me with everything I needed and eventually sorted the accounts for me. I just takes that one person to get HSBC that negative review in the way they treated me, but also proves they have some wonderful staff who are willing to help you in your time of need. Grateful thanks to the Irish gentleman who works in the banks bereavement section. Reviewed on: 15th February 2023
