Confirmation of Payee

Metro Bank's continual refusal to use Confirmation of Payee is a huge security risk and means that I will no longer use this bank, nor recommend it to my many clients. CoP was launched 3 years ago and almost every other major bank complies with this protocol, offering huge benefits to security when making online bank payments. Metro Bank has said for some time that it plans to comply but offers no timeline. If other banks can do this, why not Metro? Reviewed on: 10th March 2023
