A free bank account with opportunities to earn cashback up to the same amount I have had to pay just to have a bank account is a great start. The round ups are always a nice surprise and the app is easy to use. The ease of transfer between instant access saving and current account means that although I could get a higher rate elsewhere I would probably not have so much money invested. I can transfer all my income into saving pots and simply either pay from that pot online or transfer as needed to current. It’s the total package that works. It’s maybe a small thing but the communications are always calm and respectful in tone - some digital banks act like they are a social media platform- this one knows it’s a bank! The app is very easy to use, even now it has more features. The round ups interest rate is still very generous and it adds up to pay for little treats. I transfer all my everyday and big purchases now, for the 1% cashback - which basically makes me money just on my normal expenditure. And there is no catch - the account is free!
