The rooster is brilliant.

The rooster is brilliant. The app is easy to navigate. It gives kid the option to add like pots to split money and teaches budgeting. So if they're saving for something. They can put the money in a holding pot and it won't be spent on their card until the money has been moved back to the card. The kids also find the app easy to navigate. Its so easy to top up the mother account to filter down the the kids. And its straight forward to remove money from the kids account back into the mother account. Its also straight forward removing money from the mother account back into your current account. My kids love their cards. It gives them a bit of independence spending money. There are also chores that we can set on the account the kids just need to tick the chore to say its complete, then I get notification asking if the job is satisfactory. When I tick it, the preset amount of money for that chore goes on the card. You can set different amounts of money for different chores. We tend not to do the chore thing. But pay the kids as a thank-you when they help out with the housework. And they get boosted when they win awards etc a good report card and a swimming cert. The kids also give me birthday and christmas money they incur and I put it on their cards. This is so easy to do. And the money leaves my current account immediately to the mother rooster account. The rooster card is great for kids. My kids have learnt to budget and save with use of the App. They now understand the difference between a debit card and credit card. The card has always been accepted in all the shops the kids have used it all over the uk. Its really easy to set up. You can set limits on how much you pay into the holding account and then put into your kids account. You always get updated when they use their card. You can check the amount left on their card through the app. You can also set up weekly top ups on their cards as well as set up a chore list for pocket money. Once you approve the chore the money goes on their card. The rooster card is easy to used, easy to navigate the app and easy for kids. Its definitely educational. Reviewed on: 16th April 2025

I always rant and recommend rooster for kids to parents. I've never been to a place where it's be denied. Its monthly subscription is cheap. You can add and remove money as need for good rewards or when the kids forget their card. You can set up a weekly allowance and pocket money for chores. The kids can put money in a separate pot on the app to save money fo something. The app is easy to use to adults and kids and easy to understand. Reviewed on: 12th February 2025
