Was a victim of fraud, like other reviewers they did not help me

They did not help. Washed me hands of me. I have changed my name accordingly to avoid them trying to reach back out as the service was not what you expect. In todays cost crisis, losing money nearly ruined me. Countingup do not care. Reviewed on: 27th March 2023

Although we cannot discuss specific fraud cases publicly, we want you to know that our systems, processes, and procedures comply with UK laws and regulatory guidelines. Whenever we receive a fraud claim, we conduct a thorough assessment of all available information and additional evidence provided by the customer or other sources involved in the investigation. Based on the evidence and information at hand, we make a decision on whether a refund can be issued or not. We always explain our position and reasoning to the customer. If there is sufficient evidence to support a fraud claim, there has been no breach in the terms and conditions, and the customer hasn't compromised their account, we will provide a refund. However, there may be situations where we cannot reimburse the money lost in fraudulent transactions. This is not specific to Countingup, and any other UK bank could also make the same decision. In such cases, we will always provide a private explanation for our decision and offer guidance on the next steps to take, including how to submit additional information to support the claim.
