Review of the Emma, Savings App:

Emma is the best.

I have Autism, and find managing money extremely difficult, constantly overspending and then struggling for money almost on a weekly basis, forcing me to budget very frugally. There are many elements of the app that are brilliant, but my personal favourites is the budget tracker, by working out what is a reasonable amount to spend on certain areas, such as travel, eating out, entertainment (and more!) It has given me much needed structure. I used to be very flippant with my spending, like getting users or takeaways far too often; however by setting a travel budget of "what's needed for work and socialising +10%" or "£30 on takeaway [like Greg's, or subway for example]/week +10%" for some leeway, I've been able to be much stricter with my spending. Now I feel bad when I over spend in my budgeted areas. The other great aspect is the visualisation of income v outgoings, and the illustrated "daily limit" saying how much you can afford to spend before going over budget - so by spending under that, I'm guaranteed to not overspend. This has allowed me to save and invest, when I didn't think I could before, helping me secure my financial future and retirement. It had taken a lot of stress off my.mind, allowing me to enjoy life more, without money worries; its illustrated my wasteful spending and allows me to take control Reviewed on: 3rd April 2023
