Opening new business account

Barclays seem to want to do everything possible that they can to discourage you from opening a new account as a small business owner. I lost the will to live trying it with HSBC- everything is online with no-one to help you. Metro were helpful. Someone ( a real human being in the branch!) helped me in setting my accounts up & it was all done within 2 weeks. Also, when you phone, you get to speak to someone in the branch- not a call centre somewhere- and there is a proper counter service ie it is like branch banking used to be ( but isn’t in the big 4 now) Reviewed on: 3rd April 2023
