Dying scum

My son is half-Ukrainian (not a refugee) and we moved back to the UK before the war. I thought I'd try Metro and get him his first current account Every few months, I still take my son to see his mum in St Petersburg. Recently, I simply logged in to my account from Russia and immediately received some very dodgy emails from Metro Bank that turned out to be genuine. The emails claimed the LNR and the DNR were separate countries. I explained this to them but they never replied. Anyway, my account was blocked and on my return, I was asked to provide supporting documentation about my other accounts and even about my wife. None of it helped, they just closed all our accounts without any explanation. All because I'd simply logged on from Russia. From then, it's been months of emails back and forth trying to simply get my money back. Every time I ask what else they require, it takes days and days for them to reply. Just avoid, the service is dreadful and the way we have been treated is disgusting. I can't imagine Metro bank will still be around 5 years from now. If it is, God help us all.
