Good interest rates on the 123 current account

Whilst the interest rate has reduced on the 123 current account compared to when it first started, and monthly fees are higher, I feel it is still a great account compared to others when considering the interest rate on savings up to £20k. I liked how Santander were transparent about all changes, staff are helpful in the branches, and the internet banking is quick and easy to use. Reviewed on: 20th January 2018

Good interest rates and easy to manage online

Whilst the interest rate for this current account has reduced, it is still providing leading market rates compared to most other providers, particularly if you are able to have the £20k maximum limit in the account - as this helps you get the most out it. Customer service in the branch is good, and internet banking is easy to use to manage the account. Reviewed on: 4th July 2017

Customer service not helpful but product seems fine

I have an occupational pension with Standard Life and when I was leaving my job, I inquired about being able to continue with my own contributions. I found that customer service through emailing on the website were not very helpful at the time, but when I phoned some time later, the service on the call was good. You get sent annual statements to show how your product is performing, which is helpful. Reviewed on: 4th July 2017

Decent rates and easy to renew

The market rates for ISAs are not great at the moment, but I found that the rates offered by Santander were competitive, and allowed the inclusion of past ISAs. With online banking, it is easy to see the ISA options and rates available to you, and it is quick to select and finalise your choice without having to go to the branch. Reviewed on: 4th July 2017

Not very helpful online

When I changed employer, I inquired online about how I can continue to make my own contributions into the fund. I did not find the responses to be very helpful. They said they would write to me with my options, but I just received a letter stating that my contributions had stopped. Reviewed on: 6th September 2016
