Horrible insurance company

1
The halifax insurance is really a waste of money for a customer by paying monthly payments, thinking that your home is protected. Ones you put a claim they really insult your home by paying you money for damage priced by year 1984. They sent someone to assess my damage and he was really unqualified to assess damage. He had no building experience, he was voice recording as he was walking through my house about the damage and my husband ,a qualified joiner with 38 years experience was listening to him talking nonsense. The assessor Wouldn't even recognise a one tipe of bathroom floor to another. He told us that he is only here to measure the rooms, he was that rude to tell us not to walk with him around our home!! According to his incompetent opinion we got a settlement figure witch would never be enough to repair our damage to a standard we had before the flood. If you read my review and you are thinking to buy their insurance, please be aware that this insurance is not there to be honest with you. My insurance policy with them was a expencive policy and I realised that was a waste of money over the years. At the start they asked to get my own building company to priced the damage witch I did, absolutely a waste of my time. Their professional estimate was absolutely ignored. Terrible company with company policy of receiving monthly payments to become rich, not to protect customers, but insult them instead! What's the point then?! Overall halifax home insurance by my own expenses 3 times over 11 years is a scam. They don't deserve even a start, but it is no option to give them 0 stars Reviewed on: 3rd May 2023
