Great Expectations

Person on phone was really helpful in trying to find out why my card wasn’t accepting Tesco order. He checked his end & could find no issue and I was told to put payment through again. Do be again a few times but still not going through on PayPal. He wasn’t able to solve this time but really tried various things. He said it is likely something to do with Tesco app as there were no issues with the card. I was impressed at the time that he gave trying to track the source of the problem hence this review. He took the time and sounded quite disappointed that my late night order couldn’t be paid via PayPal. That’s customer service! I was happy with his efforts. Reviewed on: 7th June 2026

PayPal- LISTENS, CARES & RESOLVES

I have never has to wait when calling. They explain any problems/issues and even when I was a little behind on one payment, they explained the time I had to resolve it (which I did) and this did not affect my credit file. They were professional and pleasant to talk to and not condescending. I also resolved a situation via the resolution centre in my favour in which the process was very easy to follow. Unlike some companies, I am never worried when I need to contact PayPal. Also unlike other companies, they do not bombard you with meaningless emails. Reviewed on: 1st June 2024

Makes me wanna SHOUT!

A notice came up saying that I was eligible for a loan. I filled in the short information requested (mostly pre-filled as I have a Vanquis credit card). I read and signed the application and voila! Approved in seconds! The contract was in my emails, which I signed and the loan was in my account on the next working day. No hassle at all. Done from my armchair and confirmed before finishing my morning coffee.. what’s not to shout about! Reviewed on: 24th May 2023
