OK unless you need to make a claim!

Unfortunately I needed to make a claim on my car insurance while on holiday 400miles from home. My first call to report the issue was answered promptly, but the next steps weren't made clear, nor the situation regarding support in getting hold of a hire car. Since then, every phone call has kept me on hold for an eternity, and I get passed from one department to another in what appears to be a deliberate game of hoping I'll give up & go away! My car has now been declared a total loss for 14 days and I can't even get through to the "Engineers" to discuss a valuation & settlement. No comms, nothing. Just hours and hours waiting in vain to have someone answer the phone. They don't even let you know how many are in the queue ahead of you. I will avoid both eSure and Sheila's Wheels in future.
