I would never Recommend them to anyone

1
To begin, I scratched someone's car (a little scratch and they decided to go through insurance) which made my premiums go up. I was with another black box company at the time with a 96% score. I needed a new car insurance because my previous insurer was a problem and I decided to go with admiral little box paying £222 per month because it was the cheapest for me at the time. I didn't complain about pricing because I knew being a safe driver I would be able to get a 1 year no claims discounts to make my insurance go down. I read through all my documents and was informed If I was to exceed a mileage limit I would be informed to buy extra mileage and If my score went down I would be made to improve which wasn't a problem. A technician came to fit my box within the week and informed my admiral will tell me how to check my score. I never received any email and soon I started driving without checking my score. I'm a safe driver and I haven't had any driving problems apart from my previous claim. I was regularly receiving marketing emails only from admiral so I thought I was okay and never reached out to check my score. After 8 months of driving and four months to a 1 year no claims. I received a letter that If my score doesn't improve improve within 30 days I would be cancelled. I called them and they negated all blame away from themselves and told me to cancel if I cannot meet the score. To conclude they were saying I'm a high risk driver after driving for 8 months without claiming on them. Bare in mind I was trying my best to achieve a 1 year no claims discount. I asked them how can I see my score because anytime I went on their apps and websites it never worked and I was trying my best not to get cancelled. I also check my mileage and realised I have over exceeded my mileage. Even though their terms and conditions states that they will inform me of any mileage changes to They never did but kept on sending marketing emails and refused to take any blame. To prevent my insurance getting cancelled, I drove like a tortoise, put a black box sticker on my car and drove slowly yet I saw no progress with my score going up. I ended up giving up and choosing to find a new insurance. I found an Insurance will to insure me without black box for the first time ever for £207 and currently with them. I do take blame for not contacting them about my score but the moral of the story is avoid them and any other black boxes because they may be cheap but will cost you more if you had just stuck with an insurer who does do black box.
