Review of the StepChange, Debt advice:

Best Choice Ever

I was previously with a debt management company called The Financial Wellness Group who charge Very High Amount In Fees for there service I was paying £152 a month and they were taking £47 of that in fees. I see an advert appear online for StepChange so I took a look at there reviews and website and as there a charity run company no fees are charged it all looked very positive so I signed up with them. My debt will now be cleared within two years instead of six years as advised with the previous debt management company. The sign up process was straight forward and the online portal is very easy to use. I took out 60 days breathing space on my account which is a government process which means you don't pay a penny until 60 days on your account this allows StepChange to notify your creditors and so they can start sorting out the repayments amounts. Samuel (Sam) was very helpful. I have recommended StepChange to a family member who is in the process of signing up too. My advise to anyone thinking about signing up to StepChange is do it, ditch any Debt Management Company who charge fees and save ££ with StepChange. Reviewed on: 7th July 2023
