I was literally in a very bad way, emotionally and financially, my mental health was the worst it could be and my debts were out of control. I finally had to face into my problem and call Stepchange. I was embarrassed at how I had let my life and finances get out of control. The call was easy, no judging. It takes a bit of time to get it all sorted, lots of letters but after a couple of weeks I felt in control for the first time in two years. It’s going to take me very long time to clear my debt but at least I have an affordable plan. Everyone I have dealt with has been understanding. It’s a really horrible feeling but Stepchange have pretty much saved my life. Reviewed on: 7th July 2023
