Step Change The Life Savers

Following a messy divorce. I found myself left with debt and no means of getting myself straight. I was existing not living! I had done all the right things spoken to my bank but I just could get to a place where I could live without just paying bills! So when I called Step Change it was like someone putting out a hand to pull me out of what had become a very dark hole! The friendly calming nature of those I spoke to reassured me I was in safe hands, literally. The advice at this point was thorough and valuable they never made me feel helpless quite the opposite. They reassured me it was ok to have money for recreation or to save and not just be paying bills and struggling to last the month in terms of food or fuel! They guided me through setting up a payment plan that allowed me to live a balanced life without the desperate fear of going under and worse still losing my home! Due to the cost of living crisis there have been the odd bump along the way but again Step Change were there to advise and make adjustments to my payment plan where needed! They now feel like a trusted friend who I can go to for advice when things take an unexpected financial turn! I really cannot recommend them enough and cannot really quantify here in these few words what they have done for me and my families peace of mind! Thank you Step Change!! Reviewed on: 7th July 2023
