Took away my anxiety

I had lost my job through Covid and everything had got out of hand. I was a single woman aged 60 when it happened. I had my salary cut when furloughed, then I was made redundant. I had no chance of finding another job as my age was against me and I was in administration work and most had closed down. I didn’t know how to cope with mortgage payments and the debts I had no matter how big or small. I rang debt change as I wasn’t sleeping and couldn't cope. Before the end of the telephone consultation I knew I had done the right thing. I wasn’t made to feel inadequate because of the situation I was in. They sorted everything. I didn’t have to make phone calls to my creditors, they did it all. I now pay an affordable amount every month and receive statements and I’m kept up to date with everything they do to help me. I would advise anyone having a difficult time with debt to call for assistance. Reviewed on: 8th July 2023
