Outstanding support

Earlier this year I left an abusive relationship, I was lost, I was ashamed, I didn’t know where to turn. The embarrassment of the economic abuse made me feel like I was to blame so for many months I struggled trying to pay back loans I’d not taken. When I finally realised I needed help I was referred to step change. They listened, they understood and for the first time I felt like I wasn’t being judged. They took the time to go over my options. They supported me with budgeting. They were outstanding. If nothing more I’d just like to thank them for being supportive during such a tough and difficult time. Reviewed on: 10th July 2023
