Great card to help pay for a new car

When I decided to purchase a new car, I needed to transfer the balance I'd paid to another card fairly quickly. Halifax were brilliant - I already had a credit card with them for using abroad, and they converted that to balance transfer credit card and gave me 0% interest for 20 months. A good first impression

I moved to First Direct because of their excellent customer service reviews and their regular saving account rate. I've just bought a house so I no longer have a lump of savings - however, I do want to start saving again. This savings account fits my finances perfectly. Yes you can only deposit a maximum of £300 a month, but that suits me. By the end of the year, I'll have a nice little savings lump with 5% interest on top. Perfect! Reviewed on: 2nd March 2017
