We've been with NFU Mutual for many years. They are not the cheapest, but their prices are reasonable.
We've had to make a few claims over the years, and they have always responded quickly and positively.

We've insured our cars with LV for many years. A few years ago I had a crash that resulted in the write-off of my beautiful Lexus LS430. It had been in immaculate condition and I felt it was worth far more than a similar model that had not been kept in such good condition. LV agreed to inspect the car and paid me pretty much exactly what I thought it was worth. No arguments or prevarication - They just paid up!
In all of my dealings with LV their staff have been knowledgable, polite and friendly - And their prices remain very good value for money. What more could you ask?
