Emergency Home Cover - hopeless

Overall insurance has been fine - but no experience of claims apart from the home emergency cover. Front door lock failed so couldn't get in or out via the front door and had to use the garage (the key just turned in the lock), they deemed it an emergency as they sent someone out but did not open the door as they said it needed a new part - the cost was £150.00 including vat and they REFUSED to authorise the works apparently - All this info came through the company they called out, to date i have still had no response or reason why this issue was not covered from Policy Expert - EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - I was dealing with someone called Faith and asked her to get back to me with the reasons they wouldn't carry out the work and i'm still waiting!!!!
