Poor customer service

I went into your Burnley branch today to check whether it was possible to open an account today considering it was quite busy. I was told I could. I was asked whether I was an existing customer, After I said I was, I was assured again I could open the account. Therefore I went to get a cheque from another financial organisation for this new account. However after I went back, I was told I couldn’t open the account and I needed appointment. I told branch manager that her staff assured me I could, but she said that member of staff may not have realised the busy situation. I was very disappointed with what happened. It was Monday morning, I had three long queues (two in your Burnley branch, one in another financial organisation). If had I been told I couldn’t do it, I would’ve wasted time to queue two more times. From today’s experience I won’t use Marsden again, and I will recommend to my family and friends either.
