Great when things go well until you try to use credit card protection for a claim

Having had to pay out substantial funds for long lead time items paying by credit card should offer you protection via charge back or section 75 schemes. My vendor liquidated in the time from payment to expected delivery date so naturally i contacted Tesco Bank to start monies recovery. They actually deliberately employ obstructive people to avoid settling such claims. Not only that but due to the short period of customer access to statement / payments provided by Tesco, i was forced to make a Data Subject Access request under prevailing GDPR legislation to gain access to records held by Tesco, even after they emailed my to confirm they had found several payments amassing to more than my claim value. I have been forced to report their refusal to provide the data requested to the ICO for non-compliance to that legislation and without a break point response from Tesco Bank i cannot get satisfaction through the Financial Ombudsman Service. I now plan to take them to Court to recover the money they owe under Section 75 of The Consumer Credit Act. Of course whilst they’re messing me around i am accusing interest on a debt i don’t have. My advice avoid Tesco Bank entirely!! Go elsewhere! When Tesco quote “Every Little Helps” they mean to their greedy bottom line, not you as a customer. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
