Acorn car insurance

1. Had car insurance for Vauxhall Corsa 1.6 Diesel, approx. £2,400.00. Changed to a smaller Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Eptrol (SO, SMALLER ENGINE), and insurance was recalculated to £200.00 MORE (£2,600.00). 2. Changed to a CHEAPER insurance car after doing research. ONLINE MECHANISM would NOT allow me to change the car online. . .in the end, cancelled car insurance with Acorn and switched to esure. 3. Have received a generalised email from Acorn about cancelling, and no indication of any refund (I had paid the year's insurance till January 2025), so am due at least 4 months refund. . . Put wrong fuel into my car

Accidentally put unleaded fuel into my diesel car. I'm a key worker, full-time care assistant, so not paid masses of money and have to work hard for it. Leah from the AA organised a technician to come this week to drain the fuel from my car, remove the contaminated fuel, clean then repopulate with correct fuel and MOST importantly arrange for a deferred payment schedule till I have the funds. I've been with the AA for a total of 33 years, and they have NEVER let me down. I would recommend them to anyone on the planet. Reviewed on: 26th December 2023
