Terrible experience

Please don’t waste your time applying. I received a pre-approval letter for $35,000 for a personal loan. My credit has been excellent for the last 3 year and I have been on my job for 13 years. I wanted a personal loan to consolidate my bills and requested 30,000. They called and ask me a lot of my personal business what I will use the money for and what I spend on credit cards ex. food, gas, and clothes I told him no. He said you have a total of $18,000. In debt and we can give you $5000. I told them no thanks but now I have a hard inquiry on my excellent credit that has to stay there for 2 years. I believe they are information seekers.
