Great for teaching some financial freedom

We use Rooster Money with our 12 year old daughter. As a Natwest customer it is free for us, so provides great value for money. With the move to Secondary school we thought it was time to give her a cash card, and let her develop some financial independence easier than worrying about cash. It's easy to send money to the parent account from our natwest and other bank accounts via Faster Payments, and then in the Rooster app add to the balance on her card automatically, or when we approve a set of weekly chores. Excellent, no nonsense current account

Excellent, no nonsense current account with great cashback offer and high interest round ups. Could do better by allowing csv or ofx file downloads, and offer a joint account. With these features it would easily be our family main account away from first direct and NatWest. Reviewed on: 15th February 2024
