Decent, but not the best

The app is quite convenient and the savings rate is good. But that's it - good. It's a nice savings rate, but certainly not the highest - and frankly that's what matters the most for a savings account, when compare to a current account. Customer service is incredible. It's possible to connect with a real human (not a chatbot!) via chat/on the phone 24/7 which is incredibly appreciated and reassuring. The agents are very helpful too. Impressive all-rounder with excellent customer service

The app is generally quite good and it's become better over time (i.e. less laggy and glitchy). The 1% cashback on most purchases is highly appreciated (as is the fact that it works abroad). The current account interest is low, but that's fine for a current account. I like the fact that there are instant notifications for purchases and the fact that there are no FX fees. The customer service is incredible. If one has an issue, there is an agent (a real human!) able to assist within a matter of moments, either via chat or via phone, 24/7. This is incredibly appreciated and very reassuring. The agents are very helpful and could help me resolve all my issues (even if they are sometimes niche). One drawback is that Chase is not part of CHAPS, so refunds are not so easy. I also wish there was an option to receive paper statements. It would be nice to create your own categories for spending and look at the entire history rather than the past 12 months. Reviewed on: 28th February 2024
