Good for Beginners, But Expensive Relative to Others

The Nutmeg Stocks & Shares ISA can be good for someone who is just starting out in investing or who wants absolute minimum engagement in what their portfolio is invested in, however other providers provide significantly lower fees for those who want to build a passive tracker portfolio, or actively invest themselves. Round-Up Saver a good choice, Easy Access Less So

The Round-Up Savings account has remained a good rate at 5%, however the Easy Access Savings Rate have declined relative to the market leading rates that it was amongst in recent years, and the most recent offer to boost rates was frustratingly for new customers only. Therefore whilst I would recommend using the Round-Up account for anyone with a Chase Current Account, in the current market it is difficult to recommend using the Easy Access Savings account when other providers are offering better rates for near identical products. Good Account, With Excellent Add-ons

The Chase current account provides most of the features wanted from an app only current account. The 1% cashback on debit card spending is the main attraction to the account and the linked 5% round-up saver is also compelling for using this account for day to day spending needs. Review of the AJ Bell Dodl, Investments account:

Excelent provider for an investment LISA.

AJ Bell Dodl: Investments was the best value for money option I identified for the first few years of holding a stocks and shares lifetime ISA. Their service has been very good and the global investment option has matched what I wanted. Their other accounts are close to market leading on being low cost although a have found other options for these that give slightly better value. The only criticism I would have is that the monthly fee can only be taken out of un-invested cash in the account, it would be nice if there was the option to have it automatically sell a small number of units to pay the monthly fee or alternatively have it paid from another account to maximise the valuable LISA allowance £'s rather than these be used for paying a fee. Good Stocks and Shares ISA with range of portfolios

The Nutmeg Stocks and Shares ISA is a very simple option for those wanting to invest. The choice of investment portfolios is met my requirements. The few occasions where I have needed help Nutmeg's staff have always been very helpful. The only negative I have is the fee is slightly higher than some other options although those tend to more DIY products. Reviewed on: 4th March 2024
