HyperJar - modern pocket money for my nine year old

I use HyperJar to give my 9 year old daughter regular pocketmoney. She has the app on her smartphone and can create specific savings jars (currently hers are Books and Lego) as well as a general jar. She can spend her money using a debit card which can only access the cash in her jars. What's brilliant is that as soon as she makes a payment, I get an alert telling me how much and where she's spent it. Of course at the moment she's with me when she goes shopping but in future I expect this to be really useful. She was so pleased to be able to spend her own money in a gift shop on holiday recently, but she's also keen on watching her savings grow week by week. I have already recommended this product to friends and family, I think it's great. Reviewed on: 13th March 2024
