A fantastic app for beginners and simplicity.

Freetrade is a fantastic investing app for beginners. The app is laid out very simply, its not cluttered and searching/finding stocks is easy. Trades are executed quickly and the fees are fair. If you are new to investing use Freetrade. The customer service is prompt and understandable. The emails updating on various market moves are very detailed and straight to the point. I have just opened a SIPP with them as well. You can set up automatic payments to every week so that you don't have to 'time' the market. They did remove their community platform which was a bit sad as I thoroughly enjoyed engaging with other FT users and discussing stocks. Reviewed on: 9th February 2026

Excellent app and fantastic service every time.

Excellent app and fantastic service every time. I absolute love using Plum. The savings account is fantastic. It's helped me save that bit extra every month which has made it possible for me to save for various things I need. I also think the monthly cost is perfect pricing for the service. I mainly use Plum to save for emergency costs that happen. You can also really customise how you want Plum to save with all the different 'rules' and I love how you can easily amend how 'brave' you want your saving to be. If I have had a tight month this can be changed to 'shy', when I am wanting to be more vigorous I can set this to 'brave'. These features are super helpful. I recommend Freetrade to everyone.

I recommend Freetrade to everyone. The app is very easy to use and clear. I was fairly new to investing when I came across the app. The way the app is set up makes it really easy to learn investing and set up investments. All the information is there for you to make an informed decision. I also love the Freetrade community. The staff are active and engaging and other Freetrade users are great to talk to. No question is silly and any topic can be covered. You can also make suggestions for new stocks, all will be considered by the team. 10/10 from me any day. I have looked into using other investing apps but I struggle with the overload of information on some of them. I also return to Freetrade. Reviewed on: 15th March 2024
