Worst customer service ever.

PayPal + is really the only redeeming feature of the whole operation. It’s worth dealing with the appalling customer service, delayed refunds and endless gaslighting for the cashback. customer service really is a problem for this company-the staff are utterly clueless about pretty much everything. The PayPal debit card itself is insanely glitchy and not the seamless experience they claim it to be. Pre authorisation payments clear due to the nature of the way it works, and then you are expected to wait two weeks for that money to be returned-while being told they don’t even have it, despite absolute proof they do. They don’t seem to understand how their own system works which is just bizarre. And when I had an issue with the card itself not working, I was-genuinely-advised to turn it off and on again’ by a debit card specialist team member. Just bizarre. Reviewed on: 21st June 2026

I was nervous when joining a community bank as I’d never used anything like it. I needn’t have been. I love the fact I can squirrel a little money away when I can afford to, and not access it instantly, so there’s no temptation to ‘borrow’ it. I’ve since opened a Christmas saver and a uniform saver too. My experience when using customer service recently was absolutely brilliant, they sorted my problem out very quickly and got my access to my account restored so I could carry on saving.
