Review of the M&S Bank - Marks and Spencer, Car insurance:

I renewed my M&S car insurance 3 weeks prior to the policy expiring and four days later I was involved in a no fault accident. They do say you only find out how good your insurer is after you make a claim and that is completely true. Aegeas, the company who operate Marks & Spencer's car insurance were appalling. They sent no one to recover my vehicle which was not driveable and while my policy includes a 'guaranteed' courtesy car, full RAC breakdown (highest level) and legal assistance I was still left to organise everything for myself. I was stranded ( I am female) with my car in a not very good location for over three hours, then they just closed the office at 5pm. I ended up calling an accident management company Collision Solutions who have been absolutely FANTASTIC. They recovered my vehicle immediately and left me with a brand new Mercedes so I could get home again. Worst of all, I had already renewed my cover and paid the annual premium up front.... the service and product are both shoddy and second rate. I am stunned that a company like Marks and Spencer partner with Aegeas. Very disappointed. Reviewed on: 22nd October 2016
