My relationship with the Credit Union, Sheffield, began some 15 years ago, during my university days and whilst studying for a degree in social work. At that time I was also in a part time job which allowed me to access a wide range of services and benefits. At first I relied on the Credit Union for small, manageable loans that helped me fund holidays and festive gifts for loved ones. Knowing I could rely on the Credit Union at times of need offered a lot of reassurance during my time at university. The interest rates were not only reasonable, but I also valued knowing that profits were reinvested into the community and assisted others in need. This approach to supporting others really aligns with my own personal values and beliefs. As my career progressed so did my engagement with the Credit Union and where I also accessed savings accounts and debt consolidation loans. What truly distinguishes the Credit Union, Sheffield, however, is its exceptional staff. They are not only experts in their fields but are also genuinely committed to the well-being of their customers, going above and beyond immediate request. This level of dedication is rare in today's financial landscape, making the Credit Union, Sheffield an indispensable partner in my life. I often share the positive impact the Credit Union has had on me, including at my workplace, where I know they can extend similar support to others with various levels of need.
