I can’t thank StepChange enough.

I can’t thank StepChange enough for the support they gave me at one of the lowest points in my life. After losing a well-paid job just as I’d started a new chapter with my family, everything quickly spiralled out of control. What had once been manageable debt suddenly became overwhelming, and the pressure took a serious toll on my mental health. It felt like everything was collapsing at once. Reaching out to StepChange was a turning point. They treated me with understanding, not judgment, and helped me make sense of what felt like an impossible situation. Their calm, practical advice brought order back into the chaos and gave me a clear path forward. With their help, things gradually stabilised. I’ve been able to start rebuilding my life, get back on my feet (even if it’s still a work in progress), and most importantly, reconnect with my family. My mental health has improved massively, and I finally feel like myself again. StepChange didn’t just help me manage my debt, they helped me regain control of my life.
