Help in dark times

StepChange is the sort of organisation that one goes to at what is usually one of the worst times in a person's life, when it feels like your world is crashing down around you. It takes courage to approach them, but they reward that courage with compassion. They look at your circumstances objectively and non-judgementally, and tend to help you arrive at a way forward. The world is a less scary place once you are with them, and although it can take a long time, after a while you start to see a possible future that doesn't involve loss and abject poverty. I will be forever grateful to them for the help they provided and continue to provide. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024
