StepChange literally saved my life!

StepChange literally saved my life!!! I had nowhere else to go and no-one to turn to and felt very isolated, alone and literally terrified that I would lose everything. I had got to the point where I couldn't see a way out of the debt that my ex-husband had left me in, the bills were racking up and when Covid hit, that was the breaking point for me. I hadn't told anyone about the financial mess I had been left in and was working three jobs to try to make the payments to clear it but because of Covid, two of my three jobs ended. I realised then that I could not do this alone so swallowed my pride and reached out to Step Change. They were so helpful and sympathetic, guiding me through the options that were available to me and I didn't feel judged or stupid. The day after I felt such a relief that I had a plan in place, I wasn't having to juggle payments to different companies and I felt in control.
