Day light robbery

Tried taking £140-odd twice at start of policy, even though it was £73 monthly instalments . Got through to them after an hour . They said all was sorted and my next payment would be £73 on 14th September 2018 . I then received a letter on 17th September that they cancelled my policy on 10th of September because I owed them £645 !!!!!!!!! They just plucked that figure out of the air! I was only with em for two months ! And I was effectively driving uninsured for a week without any knowledge of it! I’m only glad I didn’t stay with em any longer now I know all this .
