After a bit of a stumble earlier in life, I had terrible credit. I ducked and dived and hid from the consequences for a long time. Eventually, I came to my senses and I worked hard to pay off my debts and get myself clear. Though then debt free, my credit rating was still terrible, and rightly so. I needed a way to build it back up again and Vanquis gave me that opportunity. They gave me a card with a managable credit limit and gave me that opportunity, that second chance if you will, to make the right choices in life. Thanks to Vanquis, my credit rating is improving steadily. This would not have been possible without them taking a chance on me. This may sound strange, but I will be ever grateful to Vanquis for giving me that chance to improve my credit. Reviewed on: 20th May 2026

When nobody else would give me credit, Vanquis did and I'm happy to say that I have never missed a payment in all my time with them. Their rates can be high, which is as you would expect given that they lend to 'riskier' customers, but I'm more than happy to pay those rates knowing that having a Vanquis card, using it responsibly and making my payments on time will help build up my credit rating after I squandered it in my youth. Vanquis gave me a chance when nobody else would and for that I am eternally grateful. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2024
