One step forward and two steps back.

Wanting to transfer a large amount of funds to a payee, I ended up in the ludicrous situation of having to visit a branch to execute this. The lengthy phone call (some 80 minutes) to establish that it’s no longer possible to do this by phoning a special number, let alone on-line, makes a mockery of the endless cajoling this bank employs to persuade its customers that it’s “much quicker on-line”. But two years previously just a phone call was possible but Lloyds have removed this facility. Reviewed on: 1st February 2026

Not Fit For Purpose.

Luckily I have another credit I can use, because after my local ATM swallowed my Vanquis card in August 2023 I’m still waiting for a replacement. The representative I spoke to at Vanquis was inexperienced, unhelpful and was hard to understand. I still have a small credit on my account and when I’ve nothing better to do I’ll resurrect chasing this. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2024
