The staff are always really helpful and polite whenever I phone or email. Also, the application forms are super easy to follow and fill out. As a previous domestic violence victim, my credit score was completely ruined by my perpetrator; meaning no credit card or loan eligibility once I finally left. The service that Acorn provide was an absolute godsend for myself and my two children. It allowed me to have access to a loan which would be paid back gradually from my child benefit payments and enabled me to purchase essentials that the children and I had to leave when we fled. Without this option we would’ve been left without a cot for my son to sleep in, bottles for him to feed from, clothes and a pushchair etc. It’s an amazing service and one that I would recommend to all.
