The first small steps to making a big change

After spending over a year full of worry, not sleeping and wanting to give up on life and nearly loosing my home, I took the hardest step and rang StepChange. I spent the first 15 minutes through tears trying to explain my situation to a very calm and kind lady on the other end of the phone. They then proceeded to help me get my life back on track with the advice I so needed and helped me deal with my financial problems. I am two years down the road and another two to go to be debt free. I'm not going to lie the last two years haven't been easy but I'm still here, I'm paying off my debt and I can sleep at night. Please make the call as soon as you know you are not managing, it is never too late to ask for help, but why wait, the sooner you make the call, you can start taking back control of your life.
